frequently asked questions

Tell me more about yourself!

I get this question a lot, and I find it hard to answer! I have lived in Florida for most of my life. I love Disney, my favourite princess is Snow White, I am 49 years old, and I love all things green and purple.

What size are you?

I am 5’4” and 327 lbs. I wear a size 28 or 5X. I have visited and enjoyed Walt Disney World weighing up to 390 lbs, size 32.

Can you help me plan my vacation and/or decide what rides I should try?

Unfortunately I am unable to do this, as I just don’t have the time. For information on plus size and accessible rides, please see the Pammie Plus Parks YouTube channel.

For help with general vacation planning, I recommend that you use a travel agent who is familiar with Disney and Universal. I do not recommend a particular travel agency.

How many times have you been to Walt Disney World?

I have been visiting Walt Disney World since I was a young child, and have visited well over 700 times.

What rides can you ride in Disney? What about Universal?

I am able to ride every ride at Walt Disney World, with the exception of Flight of Passage, which my calves were too large to fit.

I have been visiting Universal Studios again recently, after a 20 year break, and have been very pleasantly surprised at how many of the rides I have been able to ride as a plus size visitor. So far, I have found that I am able to ride most rides, with the exception of some of the thrill rides. All thrill rides at Universal Studios have tester seats out front, and I encourage visitors to try them if they are at all concerned.

I have a disability or health concern that I’m afraid will affect my vacation. Can you suggest anything that will help?

Both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios have programs to help guests with disabilities enjoy the parks as much as possible. Pammie Plus Parks suggests that those guest with mobility concerns should consider hiring an ECV, either in the parks or through a outside company.

The Pammie Plus Parks team has experience with a range of health concerns, including mobility difficulties, epilepsy, visual impairment, anxiety and mental health issues, autism, fibromyalgia and more. Please keep an eye on this site, as we will be posting articles about how to cope with all of these concerns in the parks.

Will you make videos on other parks and attractions in central Florida?

At the moment, I am limited by time and finances, but I would love to be able to cover other parks in the area in the future.

Will you make videos on Disneyland, cruises and other parks?

I would love to do that. At the moment, venturing out of Florida is not in my budget, but I hope to be able to do so in the future.
